Timothy L. Messett, CLU

Tim Messett is President and owner of Pension Investors Corp. of Orlando, Inc., founded in 1982.  Tim has more than 30 years of experience working with business owners in the design and implementation of qualified plans; including 401(k), Defined Benefit, Money Purchase, Cross-tested and Age-Weighted Profit Sharing Plans, and ESOPS. He also provides clients with a variety of employee incentive programs designed to attract and retain key employees. 

Upon leaving college, Tim served as a Warrant Officer in the US Army’s 162^nd AHC where he flew Helicopter Combat Assaults and Soldier Rescues during his tour in Vietnam. Upon his return to the states he served as a helicopter flight instructor at Ft. Rucker for the remainder of his tour of duty.  Early in his business career, Tim served as a Regional Vice President for a large life insurance company and was responsible for establishing their sales operations in the State of Florida.

As a successful business owner himself, Tim brings a wealth of experience to the wide range of issues faced by business owners everyday.  He specializes in tax and estate planning for business owners, establishing buy/sell plans and providing business continuity to heirs or key employees. Tim is an expert in strategies designed to supplement tax-deferred income over and above the limitations associated with ERISA plans. 

Each year, Tim teaches courses providing CPE credits for CPAs and other professionals updating them on the most recent planning strategies for business owners.  As a result, most of his clients are referred to him through their other advisors to consult on these complex issues.

Tim is past President of the Employee Benefits Council of Central Florida; a member of the Central Florida Estate Planning Council; International Forum; Business Enterprise Institute; and a lifetime qualifying member of MDRT. He holds the NASD Series 7 license, as well as Life, Health, Variable Annuity and Real Estate licenses, and is a Registered Investment Advisor.
